Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 3 (HBTV): Choreographer-actor Prabhu Deva and actor Vishnu Manchu met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his office in Lucknow on Wednesday to promote their upcoming mythological film Kannappa.
They were joined by the Chancellor of Mohan Babu University, Mohan Babu, and Vinay Maheshwari. During the visit, CM Yogi Adityanath signed a poster of Kannappa and extended his best wishes to the team for the success of the film.
The Kannappa team presented the Chief Minister with a glass painting and other mementoes before posing for group photographs.
The visit also drew attention for its visual appeal, with Prabhu Deva wearing a pink shirt and white trousers, while lead actor Vishnu Manchu wore blue jeans, a grey shirt, and a beaded necklace to reflect the spiritual tone of the film, which is based on a Hindu devotional theme.
Kannappa is a mythological epic that narrates the story of the legendary devotee of Lord Shiva. The film was originally slated for release on April 25, but the makers have postponed the date. The new release date is yet to be announced.
The film features Vishnu Manchu in the titular role, alongside Preity Mukhundhan. It also stars Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, and Kajal Aggarwal in prominent roles. Prabhu Deva is set to choreograph a song for the film.
Earlier this year, Prabhu Deva introduced his son, Rishii Ragvendar Deva, in a dance video shared on Instagram. The clip featured the father-son duo performing on stage, cheered on by fans.
