Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 18 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday held a Janta Darshan at the Gorakhnath Temple, where he met the public and listened to their grievances. He directed officials to take prompt action to address the issues raised.

Earlier on Friday, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Youth Adda and launched the CM Yuva mobile application to promote entrepreneurship and provide employment opportunities for the youth, on the occasion of International MSME Day.

Congratulating both small and large entrepreneurs, as well as more than 2 crore employees in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector across the state, the Chief Minister highlighted Uttar Pradesh's progress under the One District One Product initiative. He noted that this approach has enabled different regions to develop and promote their unique products.

Referring to local specialities, he said, ‘Perfume from Kannauj, hardware from Aliganj, Chikankari from Lucknow, Dholak of Amroha, Barsuri of Pilibhit — today, people have received the opportunity to move forward, and they have indeed progressed.’

He added, ‘If the government works without discrimination, development happens quickly in the state. We provided training, and after training, we are distributing toolkits.’

Discussing the CM Yuva app, the Chief Minister stated that more than 90 lakh MSME units have been launched under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana (CM-Yuva), which offers interest-free loans of up to INR 5 lakh. He said more than 55,000 youths have joined the scheme.

‘Between 90 and 96 lakh MSME units have also been given security guarantees. We have launched an app named CM Yuva. If any youth wants to start a business, we are providing assistance of up to INR 5 lakh without interest. Today, 55,000 youths are connected with it,’ he said.

Highlighting the transformation the state has undergone, CM Yogi remarked that before 2017 — prior to the formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government — Uttar Pradesh was known for mafia and criminal elements, taking a swipe at the Opposition Samajwadi Party.
