Imphal, Manipur, February 27 (HBTV): A total of 104 different types of weapons, various munition and other miscellaneous items were voluntarily surrendered by the public in Kangpokpi, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Imphal West and Kakching Districts, police said on Thursday.

At Kangpokpi district police station, six SBBL (local made), two SLR, one INSAS, one .22 Rifles (local made) without magazine, ammunitions, and a Chinese hand grenade were surrendered on Wednesday.

In Imphal East district, two SMG carbine with one empty magazine, a country made 9mm pistol without magazine, and five grenades were surrendered at OC Lamlai.

At OC-Porompat Office, two INSAS were also surrendered while at OC-Sagolmang Office under Sagolmang-PS, one CMG carbine with two empty magazines, an SBBL gun, a local made pistol with an empty magazine, and a local made carbine without magazine, among others, was surrendered.
