New Delhi [India], June 25 (HBTV): Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the 52nd PRAGATI meeting on Thursday, during which he reviewed four major infrastructure projects worth approximately INR 30,000 crore and stressed the need for their timely completion through effective implementation of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said the ongoing development projects would provide fresh momentum to economic growth, connectivity and industrial progress.
'These works will add momentum to economic growth, connectivity and industrial progress. Emphasised the use of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan for the timely completion of development works. Other subjects reviewed include TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, grievances related to Cyber Crime and Digital Arrest,' he said.
The Prime Minister reviewed four critical infrastructure projects spanning the Road, Power, Industrial Corridor and Metro Rail sectors across four states, with a combined cost of around INR 30,000 crore.
The projects, considered vital for economic growth, regional connectivity, industrial development and public welfare, were assessed with a focus on timelines, inter-agency coordination, issue resolution and timely completion.
Modi underlined that delays in infrastructure projects not only lead to cost escalation but also deprive people and industries of timely benefits. He directed the concerned ministries and state governments to resolve pending issues in a mission mode and ensure close monitoring at the highest level.
He also emphasised the use of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan for efficient planning and timely implementation of infrastructure projects, while calling for regular updating of project details, utilities, infrastructure layers, clearances and other field-level information on the portal.
The Prime Minister said the platform must reflect the latest ground situation so that bottlenecks can be identified in advance, inter-agency coordination improved and decisions taken using reliable, real-time data.
Modi also reviewed the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and stressed the need to leverage the latest digital technologies, including Artificial Intelligence. He suggested involving teams of NCC cadets and MY Bharat volunteers for awareness campaigns, patient follow-up and community mobilisation.
Reviewing grievances related to cybercrime and digital arrest frauds, the Prime Minister expressed concern over the growing misuse of digital platforms to defraud citizens and said such cases require coordinated, sensitive and time-bound action by all concerned agencies.
He said citizens should not be made to move from one department or agency to another while seeking assistance. He also stressed the need for clear ownership, faster response, better coordination among law enforcement agencies, banks and digital platforms, along with stronger public awareness campaigns.
The Prime Minister observed that timely intervention in cyber fraud cases is crucial to prevent financial losses and restore public confidence. He directed all stakeholders to work closely to strengthen prevention, reporting, investigation and grievance redressal mechanisms.
He further urged states to enable e-Zero FIR mechanisms for faster registration and response in cyber fraud cases. (ANI)
