Chumoukedima (Nagaland) [India], May 8 (HBTV): A company in the United States is offering employees a unique and anonymous way to confront their bosses, providing a platform for grievances without fear of retaliation. Founded by stand-up comedian and actor Calimar White—who has nearly 280,000 followers on Instagram—OCDA is gaining popularity as a workplace grievance outlet, according to South China Morning Post.
Operating as a non-profit, OCDA aims to validate employee complaints, promote respect, and encourage a culture of accountability in the workplace. The organisation saw a surge in public interest after a TikTok influencer posted a video about its services on November 7, highlighting the novelty of its anonymous confrontation model.
When a client submits a complaint, OCDA dispatches a trained "scolder" to the client's workplace. This professional then confronts the targeted boss or colleague, delivering a passionate and pointed rebuke based on the client's written grievances. The “scolder” follows a strict script, ensuring the message is communicated clearly, regardless of how the confrontation unfolds.
For clients located outside OCDA’s physical service range, the scolding sessions are conducted over the phone. The company does not disclose its pricing structure publicly.
Following each intervention, OCDA uploads the unedited confrontation videos to its YouTube channel, which now has more than 80,000 subscribers.
In one such video, an agent confronted a boss identified as "Mr. LJ," voicing a litany of workplace concerns: "After 17 years of service, I'm still denied paid time off, while new hires receive higher salaries than veterans. The inventory is in disarray, and basic amenities like fans are missing from the moulding section."
OCDA is also actively recruiting more “scolders” via social media. The recruitment criteria are deliberately unconventional, with calls for applicants who, among other things, are “parents who frequently cuss at their kids” or “come from a single-parent household.”
By creating a platform that merges humour, confrontation, and advocacy, OCDA is attempting to change how workplace grievances are expressed and addressed in the modern employment landscape.
