New Delhi [India], July 6 (HBTV): A grand jungle safari project coming up in the Aravalli Hills is set to redefine Haryana's identity while promoting green tourism and wildlife conservation, according to an official release.
The ambitious project, which will be developed over approximately 10,000 acres, aims to preserve diverse species of animals, birds, and the region’s natural biodiversity. Equipped with modern technology and designed with eco-tourism in mind, the safari is expected to become a significant attraction in Haryana.
To advance the project, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, along with Union Minister Manohar Lal and Environment, Forest and Wildlife Minister Rao Narbir Singh, visited Vantara in Jamnagar, Gujarat, to study best practices.
The safari project is expected to generate new employment opportunities for local youth in tourism, hospitality, and guiding services, while also contributing to the strengthening of regional ecology and climate resilience.
Chief Minister Saini is personally reviewing the progress of the project and has directed the Forest and Environment Department to ensure that all development remains entirely eco-friendly. He described the initiative as a milestone in environmental protection, tourism promotion, and livelihood generation.
The Forest and Environment Department and the Tourism Department will jointly implement the project, which the government hopes will attract domestic and international tourists, establishing Haryana as a leader in eco-tourism.
Under Chief Minister Saini’s leadership, the safari is envisioned not just as a tourist attraction, but as an enduring symbol of environmental stewardship and generational inspiration.
In a broader push to transform Haryana into a global tourism hub, the government is also planning a series of high-impact projects. These include the construction of a world-class Disneyland-style theme park in the Delhi-NCR region and the expansion of the International Gita Mahotsav.
Additionally, the government has proposed hosting three annual Melas at Surajkund and elevating the scale of the International Gita Mahotsav celebrations, with financial support sought from the Central Government to realise these initiatives.
