Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 17 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday laid the foundation stone of a data centre in Ghaziabad.
In his address at the ceremony, the Chief Minister said the data centre would illuminate the path toward an India that aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat.
‘Prime Minister Modi gave the country an aim for the year 2047, when India will complete 100 years of independence — an India free from scarcity, achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat. The road to this goal passes through such Mini Ratna and Ratna companies. This data centre illuminates the path to an India that truly fits into PM Modi's vision of Viksit Bharat,’ said CM Yogi.
Earlier, on June 25, Chief Minister Adityanath had highlighted the state's vast potential in the animal husbandry and dairy sectors. He noted that the Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan is helping realise Prime Minister Modi’s vision.
He remarked that these sectors had long been ignored by previous governments, despite Uttar Pradesh having fertile land and rich water resources. He asserted that the government’s recent agricultural initiatives have started to deliver visible results.
‘Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan is making PM Modi’s vision a reality. The immense potential in animal husbandry and dairy was never sincerely pursued by earlier governments. As a result, the quality of livestock here began to deteriorate. UP has the best fertile land, abundant water resources, and once had high-quality livestock. But all of that began to vanish. Now, the results of the past 10–11 years of work in this sector can be seen across the state,’ Yogi Adityanath told reporters.
The Chief Minister emphasised that development work in the agriculture sector should have started much earlier, especially in a state like Uttar Pradesh where significant agri-based opportunities exist.
He criticised previous governments for failing to prioritise the agricultural sector and accused them of adopting an ‘anti-farmer’ approach.
‘The work that should have been done in a state like Uttar Pradesh, where immense potential in agriculture and allied sectors is hidden, was stalled due to the negligence and anti-farmer mindset of previous governments. Schemes were designed to benefit a select few, to manipulate tenders, with no intention to serve farmers, youth, women, or livestock rearers,’ he said.
CM Yogi lauded the reforms undertaken by Prime Minister Modi since 2014 and said farmers in Uttar Pradesh are now experiencing a tangible transformation in their lives. He added that the state’s farmers are now prosperous and no longer face the distress that once led to suicides.
‘Over time, the condition of the state had become deplorable. Farmers were pushed to the brink, and some began dying by suicide. But since 2014, PM Modi has ushered in a sense of all-round development. This transformation is now visible on the ground. We can see it in the improved lives of farmers in Uttar Pradesh. Today, our farmers are prosperous. They do not die by suicide or migrate anymore,’ the Chief Minister stated.
