Four female thieves arrested while trying to rob woman in Assam's Silchar

Police authorities in Assam have arrested four female thieves who have been accused of trying to rob a woman in broad daylight today in Assam's Silchar.

Silchar, Assam, May 10 (HBTV): Police authorities in Assam have arrested four female thieves who have been accused of trying to rob a woman in broad daylight today in Assam's Silchar.  

A gang of four women allegedly robbed another woman at Silchar's College road. Their identities including that of the woman were not available at press time.        

The alleged thieves reportedly followed the victim after she came out of a bank and boarded an e-rickshaw. The women also boarded the vehicle and later sprayed an unidentified substance in the air causing the victim to lose consciousness.               

However, the victim could regain her consciousness before the gang could snatch away her money. She alerted nearby residents who sprung into action and caught the women.         

The four women have been taken by the police for interrogation.
