Washington [US], May 1 (HBTV): Three Indian-origin individuals were found dead following a shooting at a residence in Newcastle town, Washington, United States, The Seattle Times reported, citing the King County Medical Examiner's Office.

King County Sheriff's spokesperson Brandyn Hull stated that deputies responded to a 911 call around 7 pm on April 24 at a townhouse on 129th Place Southeast. According to the report, detectives discovered blood on the front window and a single hollow-point bullet on the street.

Shwetha Panyam (41) and Dhruva Kikkeri (14) died from gunshot injuries, and their deaths have been classified as homicides. Harshavardhana Kikkeri (44) died by suicide, as per the medical examiner's findings.

When asked whether the incident was considered a murder-suicide, Hull stated she could not confirm. In a statement issued Monday, she said, ‘An investigation such as this takes time, and our detectives are working diligently to try and piece together what led to this incident.’ She added, ‘Until this work concludes, the Sheriff's Office won't have any further updates.’

Alex Gumina, President of the Homeowners Association, stated that a family of four — a husband, wife, and their two sons — lived in the home and mostly kept to themselves.

The sheriff’s office has not released additional details, including the motive or further information about the relationships among the deceased.
