A program on special vaccination drive for Shopkeepers & helpers, drivers, coolies and their family members was organized today at the  Public Ground by Medical Department and District Task Force (DTF) Longleng District.

Dr. Obangjungla, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), District Hospital Longleng highlighted the gathering about the main reasons for organizing such special vaccination drives. She said that the medical department was taking an extra step in vaccinating the most vulnerable group of the society. She further requested the people gathered to create awareness among each other for the common safety of all.

Dr. S. Imnameren Phom, District Immunization Officer (DIO) gave an in-depth detail about the vaccination process and the steps taken by the medical department, and the state government to curb the spread of the virus. He also urged the gathering and the people of Phom society in general, to come forward for vaccination.

M. Shayung Phom (NCS), Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, DTF Longleng launched the special vaccination drive after assuring that the district administration would always stand by the side of medical department and its expertise.
