Zunheboto [Nagaland], June 25 (HornbillTv): Two villages – Luvishe Old village under Aghunato Block and Sapotimi Village under Suruhuto Block of Zunheboto district have achieved 100% vaccination for all eligible adult population. 

The Luvishe Old village had its first Covid-19 vaccination drive on June 15. All the eligible beneficiaries were vaccinated except three members who could not be vaccinated due to health issues. However, on June 21, the village GBs and elders came forward with a determination to vaccinate all its eligible citizens to make the village 100% vaccinated. Hence, a team of medical staff led by Dr. Kipito Awomi, MO CHC, Aghunatoto visited the village and vaccinated the remaining three members. A total of 73 villagers were vaccinated and became the first village in the district to be fully vaccinated.  

Meanwhile, the Sapotimi village became the second village in the district to be fully vaccinated with a total of 187 beneficiaries being vaccinated. The medical team conducted the first Covid-19 vaccination drive in the village on April 13 wherein 71 beneficiaries were vaccinated followed by second vaccination drive on June 6, where a total of 99 beneficiaries were vaccinated. On June 23 the remaining 17 left out members were vaccinated and achieved 100% vaccination for all eligible beneficiaries.
