Imphal [Manipur], July 18 (HornbillTV): A team of Imphal East Police under the supervision of SP Imphal East and SDPO Porompat said to be acting on a specific information conducted frisking and checking in Soibum Leikai area near Citizen Club and caught two persons with twenty soap cases of Heroine powder. The two persons were identified by police as one Washing Akram who is 21 years of age and Lemba Yumkhaibam who is 26 years of age.

Washing Akhram is said to be originally from Mayang Imphal but right now resident at Hatta in Imphal East District. While on the other hand Lemba Yumkhaibam is from New Checking in Imphal East district. According to SP Imphal East district N Herojit Singh after interrogating Washim and Lemba they revealed two other names involved in the racket. Washim and Lemba were caught by police around 5:30 PM on Saturday, however police immediately started search operation for two other individuals.

SP Imphal East further said that police team was successful in nabbing two other individuals around 6:20 PM. The two individuals who were caught later on were identified as Ningthoukhongjam Nilachandra Singh who is 27 years old and he is Checkon Mantop Leirak in Imphal East. Another individual was identified as one Rizwan Khan of Lilong Khunou in Thoubal District.

SP Herojit further said Nilachandra Singh made disclosure of two other person's involved in the racket identified by name of Tongkhojang Baite of Moaojang Village in Tengnouoal District and Hemkhomang Baite of Moreh Ward No.1. The arrest of these two persons were said to be made around 7 pm.

The Seize Heroine powder is said to be weighing around 276 grams in total which is estimated to be around INR fifty five lakhs and twenty thousand in international value added SP Imphal East.

Further the above mentioned six persons along with the seized items are said to be handed over to Office In charge Porompat Police station for taking up legal actions them.
